The Hong Kong Trade Development Council's (HKTDC) Director of Research Nicholas Kwan says Hong Kong SMEs may need to adjust their strategies in response to new regional trade agreements -- particularly the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership, which could cover 38 per cent of the world's economy and involve about a dozen countries including the US and Japan. China would be wise to push for more reforms, including urbanization -- which also offers opportunities for Hong Kong companies according to HKTDC Deputy Director of Research (Greater China) Pansy Yau.
